Well
in case you've forgotten the faces of the “Heels on
Fire”
frontrunners already and their ardent supporters, take a
look at some of snapshots of the launch party on the eve of
the team's departure from London. There was lot of
mingling between an entire spectrum of people spanning
sports enthusiasts, development professionals, art
enthusiasts or then friends just plainly driven by the
desire and curiosity to be a part of a group that was
infectiously determined to set out on this mystical
adventure. |

Tied
together by the enthusiasm of a task the many 'like minds'
set the room abuzz with a resonating mix of anxiety, perplexion,
interest and enthusiasm (and yes that was before the sambucas were
bought!).
Congratulations
to all who helped organise the event and many thanks of course
to those who came to show their support. The room was packed
with friends and family of Pete and Rahul as well as many others
from all the wider networks made, all there to hear
about the big adventure!
Though
Dez couldn't be there, rest assured that he was impressively
represented in spirit , with his intriguing style of photography
projected as the backdrop.
The
night seemed to also inspire a strange sweep of fate, when we
discovered Rahul and Pete's mums, who had only just met were ' the
original intrepid travelers’. They had had their tryst with
India way back in the sixties, driving overland to
India from Europe in their Morris Minors. Well, Forty odd
years later History repeats itself, the travel bug lives on and
generation next shall add to the families repertoire with all of us
cheering, making it bigger and larger than life we hope!!!
All
round, a great kick off!
